STEEL FRAME SYSTEM
Configure a 6'H x 8'W privacy fence panel with Perimtec’s Steel Frame System. The wider 8-foot bay can reduce post count on straight runs. Standard real-cedar configurations are vertical; horizontal cedar across 8 feet is reviewed separately because boards may flex and tongue-and-groove sourcing can take much longer.
For custom sizes, nonstandard layouts, commercial quantities, or project-specific needs, request a quote.
Perimtec offers five standard Steel Frame fence kit sizes. Choose the height and bay width that best fit the project; each size has its own configuration and ordering page.
To estimate quantity, divide fence length by section width. For example, 96' of fence uses sixteen 6' sections. Standard post pricing already includes all seventeen posts for that straight run, including its final ending post. Add only posts for additional corners or separate fence runs; gate post needs are calculated separately. 4' and 6' gates can be priced online where the selected infill is supported.

Each 6x8 privacy fence panel is 6 feet tall by 8 feet wide and uses a steel perimeter frame around the selected infill. Choose wood, composite, vinyl, or Designer Metal options within the approved orientation rules, then configure posts, gates, and quantities for the project.
6x8 is 6' tall x 8' wide. Vertical is the standard online orientation for Wood / cedar, WPC / composite, Vinyl, and other compatible nonmetal infills. Designer Metal / Corrugated Metal supports horizontal or vertical layouts. Horizontal real cedar across an 8-foot bay is possible by special review but not recommended: boards can feel flexible or bow in the middle, and 8-foot tongue-and-groove cedar can sometimes take up to five months to source. For a standard horizontal cedar layout, choose a 6x6 section.

Choose 6x8 when you want the common 6-foot privacy height with a wider 8-foot bay to cover longer straight runs efficiently.
Use online ordering when your standard size and quantity are known. Request a quote when the run includes custom transitions, uncertain quantities, or nonstandard conditions.
Compare height first, then bay width, then orientation limits. Smaller bays can simplify tight layouts; wider bays can reduce the number of sections on straight runs.
